12th anniversary of the national apology to Forgotten Australians and former child migrants

Tuesday 16 November 2021 marks the 12th anniversary of the Australian Government's National Apology to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants.

We acknowledge the pain and loss of childhood experienced by Forgotten Australians and we recognise the lifelong impacts of childhood trauma.

Open Place provides free support and advocacy for people who grew up in Victorian orphanages and homes during the last century.
