What this group can help with
This 6-session program can help you to:
- understand your child’s feelings, including anger, sadness or worry
- understand how your child’s feelings impact their behaviour
- understand and manage feelings that come up for you as a parent
- connect and talk with your child in positive ways
- support your child as they develop social skills
- manage your child’s challenging behaviours
- help your child express emotions and respond to their feelings in appropriate ways.
This knowledge will support your child’s emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is a skill that helps children and adults to be more resilient, have healthy relationships, and manage hard experiences.
Who attends
Fathers of children aged 3 to 12 years who have a connection to any of the following areas:

- City of Manningham
- City of Melbourne
- Melton
- Bacchus Marsh
- City of Monash.
Please note: Only dads attend groups. Children cannot be present during sessions.
