We’re excited to be hosting an information stand at Midsumma Carnival on 22 January 2023!

This free, family-friendly event kicks off the 23 days of the Midsumma Festival, Melbourne's annual queer arts and cultural event.

Midsumma Festival will run from Saturday 21 January to Sunday 12 February 2023 and feature a diverse range of art forms and genres, including visual arts, live music, theatre, spoken word, cabaret, film, parties, sport, social events, and public forums.

The carnival day, affectionately known as Midsumma’s ‘queer-day-out', is held in Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne’s bustling CBD, and includes LGBTIQA+ arts and cultural performances, queer-friendly stalls and businesses, and group activities with prizes to be won.

You’ll also be able to purchase food and drinks and access a range of spaces including dedicated areas for youth and for families.

Visit us in the stalls precinct to pick up free resources, chat to our friendly staff, including members of our Rainbow Working Group, and subscribe to our newsletter for the chance to win one of three $65 vouchers from Hares & Hyenas, Melbourne’s queer and intersectional bookshop!

Relationships Australia Victoria celebrates LGBTIQA+ diversity and we are committed to providing safe and inclusive services for all. We invite you to share your feedback on how we can continue to improve our services to best meet your needs; by entering our prize draw at the event, or emailing us.
